A stanger walks by

He walks with his head up and his hair well done and his new sunglasses. He knows for sure what is and what is not, or at least that’s what one would think looking at him. This new city has nothing on him, he’s new, that’s true, but he’s got what it takes.

A long time ago his mom could not afford his candy at the grocy store. He told me exactly how he felt as she put it back on the shelf. He is buying her a house now, she will no longer have to answer to her older brother. she will also walk with with her head held high. She may not have been able to keep a man but she sure birthed and raised one.

His posture changes as the thought of her crosses his mind, alone back home. Home, the damned country that hurt him so deeply and yet he loves so dearly. She must be lonely, or at least lonelier as he is no longer there. But he knows for sure she is proud, today more than ever, she must be proud of him, as he walks confidently into this new city. He will bring home all the gold, the success and he will prove them all wrong, and then he will bring it all back to her, the rightful owner of all his success.
